CosmoQuest forums
« on: August 25, 2016, 06:13:50 PM »
Starting a few days ago, I've been unable to get to the CosmoQuest forums.  My regular link -- http://cosmoquest.org/forum/forum.php -- takes me to the CQ main page.  From there, the link to the forums -- http://cosmoquest.org/forum -- shows a page that says "Server is having difficulties. Please be patient while we attempt to resolve these issues."  It's not even HTML, just plain text.

I remember about a day before that, an announcement link that looked very suspicious, claiming to be from God or some such.  I avoided it.

Does anyone know what's going on over there?

Fred
Hey, you!  "It's" with an apostrophe means "it is" or "it has."  "Its" without an apostrophe means "belongs to it."

I'm having no trouble connecting to either of those links

Try again, and when the message comes up, press CTRL-F5

ETA: If that doesn't work, try one of these

If you're not a scientist but you think you've destroyed the foundation of a vast scientific edifice with 10 minutes of Googling, you might want to consider the possibility that you're wrong.

They got hacked.  Cory has secured the place and moved it to a new server.

Yep, I've got access today for the first time in a couple of days.  I wonder what achievement the hacker got over this hack?

Likely either practice in basic database hacking (best to due on non-commercial sites) or recruiting zombies with another target in mind
