Showing what a complete numpty I am, but what are those two little yellow squares over on the left underneath my name and above my post count?

It goes by your post count, as does what planet name is displayed. One square Mercury, two squares Venus etc. I'm not sure what the actual post counts needed to reach each level are, though.

ETA-Never mind, I see now I don't know what I'm talking about, at least about the number of yellow squares :(

No, you were right, BazBear. The yellow squares are related to your rank, which is based on your post count. But if I remember correctly you have to go up two ranks to add another square. You can have a maximum of 5 squares. The Proboards forum did something similar with stars.
It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth.
I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth.
I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.

Here are the post ranks and the number of squares. They are completely meaningless, really, but it is possible for me to add or remove certain privileges based on the post count.

Oh okay. I had seen KA9Q had a Jupiter rating, but with just three squares, and that's what made me think I was way off. Thanks for clearing that up.

The privilege of talking to me, of course! ;)

Right now all of the post count based member groups have the same privileges. I've created a couple of groups for removing privileges (such as the ability to send private messages, or deleting posts) but they have to be assigned to members, they aren't based on post counts.

I considered editing everyone's post counts to include the number of posts you've made in the Proboards forum, but then I realized how much work that would be.

Yeah, it's a little screwy because to go from 3 squares to 4 you have to go up 3 levels. To go from 4 squares to 5 you have to go up 4 levels. It's because we have 11 user levels but there is a maximum limit of 5 squares.
