Michael Na'imeh

This is the one author that mostly influenced me in my childhood. I used to read for him a lot, and seriously it is a pity that a writer who is nicknamed the "monk of al Shakhroub" did not earn the reputation he deserved worldwide. He was a good friend of Gebran Khalil Gebran, but to me, he always stood as a way more important writer. Michael Na'imeh is so refined of a philosopher, so sensitive to issues concerning the human being in every time and place. His mystical view of the world is enjoyed by many.

This is his "Book of Mirdad", https://b-ok.asia/book/3591837/d694fe , one of his most famous writings that Osho said about:

"There are millions of books in the world, but ‘The Book of Mirdad’ stands out far above any book in existence. ..It is a small book, but the man who gave birth to this book – and mind my words, I am not saying ‘the man who wrote this book’, nobody wrote this book – was an unknown, a nobody. And because he was not a novelist, he never wrote again; just that single book contains his whole experience. The name of the man was Micahel Naimeh.”

I hope the English translation is good, though.

This is a fb page that you can access many of his quotes from (of course they need to be transalted).

Enjoy!
“When you go through a hard period,
When everything seems to oppose you,
... When you feel you cannot even bear one more minute,
NEVER GIVE UP!
Because it is the time and place that the course will divert!”
