Lee Hutchinson, Ars Technica editor and resident of greater Houston, has written a article about his tour of JSC and the MOCR, personally guided by Apollo era controller Sy Liebergot.
It is fairly in depth account of how the MOCR worked including the use of the 100+ year old technology of pneumatic tubes. A reminder of the days when delivering a message meant delivering a physical object.
