Today is a good day, its the first time one of my video's got featured by a conspiracy channel!
Was only a matter of time with my popularity. Very proud of myself.
Apparently, the liftoff of Apollo 14 has a leaf blowing away from the rocket exhaust.
Observe:
"With all that's going on in the world, I think we need a good laugh and after seeing what a young child found when looking at the Apollo 14 space footage, I did just that.
I know it's most likely a piece of the "vacuum proof" construction paper or foil, but it looks just like a leaf blowing in the wind and it seems to have been cut that way by someone trying to leave a clue that it's all fake.
Stanley Kubrick did leave many clues and this could just be another one.
Either way, once you see it, you will have a hard time seeing it as a regular piece of foil or construction paper"
-
I hate to tell him, but all construction paper is vacuum-proof.

Wow, amazing straw clutching there. Random piece of Mylar happens to look a bit like a leaf in one frame (when literally every other freeze-frame showed it to be nothing like actually leaf-shaped) is a ‘clue’? Oh dear....

Flerfers ::)
I'd put money on it being this

I'm with onebigmonkey on this one. Packaging from the MESA, maybe.
-
Should I make a response video, or is that the trap they want me to fall into? Does it give them the validation they don't deserve?

Or possibly the S-Band cover, which is in place on top of the MET station here

in a photo taken after the one I posted earlier and is between EVAs.

I'll see if I can get 1080p files of the scans and post the relevant frames here, without interpolation.
Those in my video were sourced from 720p files.

So they're almost literally clutching at straws now... ;) (I'll get my coat)

Almost certainly the S-Band cover - this in the ALSJ:
118:15:38 Mitchell: (Don't) take the MESA with you. (Long Pause)
[Mitchell - "He must have stumbled or momentarily lost his balance. I don't see that in the TV."]
[Al makes his way around the ladder to the south side of the spacecraft to get the S-Band antenna cover.]
118:15:56 Shepard: How's our buddy the redhead (CMP Stu Roosa) doing, Houston? (Pause)
118:16:08 Mitchell: I don't think they heard you.
[Al re-appears behind the ladder, taking the S-Band cover to the MET.]
Here are the two compared:

That cover is then removed for EVA-2 and placed somewhere around the LM. It re-appears in shot when blown by the exhaust.

This interpolation was made with a HQ 1080p source, instead of the YouTube 720p source I used previously. Also got better colour grading.
Maybe the extra detail will allow for better viewing.
And individual unprocessed 1080p film frames, straight from source video file:

Stupid, but at least not the same arguments that we have heard endlessly repeated by now.
-
Are there lots of leaves in the desert where they faked it? Or was it now faked in Griffith Park?
-
Well, the observatory is right there...
-
Of course. The observatory is really a massive rear screen projection unit. That's how they do the background effects over a large area.
(We're putting more thought into this conspiracy theory than the conspiracists.)
