Title: OT - can't search at Clavius
Post by: Apollo watcher on August 09, 2012, 12:35:07 AM
This is a little off-topic, but I can't do a search at Clavius.  I get this error message:

We're sorry...

... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.
See Google Help for more information.

As fa as I know, my computer isn't sending automated queries.  Why can't I do a search?

Just tried it myself. Same error message.

Until Jay can fix it use the Google site search option:  site:www.clavius.org search term

As JayUtah noted a couple of days ago, the correct place for Clavius feedback would be this subforum: http://www.apollohoax.net/forum/index.php?board=5.0

Incidentally, the same error has already been reported there, but it's without a follow-up.

Yeah it's not your computer that is making automated queries.  Apparently Google has RBL'ed the hosting company's computer.  I'm working with them to fix it.

The update on that is ... still in Google's court.  I'll ping them again.
