Some of them are commonplace, like the photos and coin, though most of the coins have long since lost their accompanying certificate. The flight plan, howeve, if it's an original, would be very sought after.

I haven't checked but a CSM operations handbook for CSM 012? I think that would be very sought after.

All original & named to same person in Flight Control.
Any idea of value? More to this collection & would like to offer fair prices.

You could be looking at several hundred dollars for the manual, particularly if the WE Platt is the same one mentioned in here

Yes, that's him. Some items that predate 1963 were given to him by NASA. He was also on the investigation team for the Challenger.

I've tried to locate other copies of my publications on the internet but no luck.
Are there copies floating around in the collector world? Thinking about moving some of these along to help fund other projects but not sure how scarce these are. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, those operations manuals really ought to be scanned and put up on the net! There are scanned copies of some versions of those manuals, but some are illegible in spots and/or missing pages.
A modern scanner should do much better, especially if it is operated in color or at least grey-scale mode; the scans available on NTRS resemble photocopies in that they have a very low resolution (binary?) grey scale that can make faint print completely illegible.

There are flatbed scanners that can handle documents that large. Depending on the shape, you might still be able to turn it to feed through an autofeed scanner.
The scans of the operations manuals already available break the foldouts into sections. This is a mild nuisance, but you can handle it. The real problem is when parts are illegible.

There will be a lot of work scanning each page. Larger ones are 200-500 pages.

I'm kinda in two minds about that. As historic items, I'd prefer they be freely available to anyone who cares to download them... BUT I appreciate that the effort that you would have to go to scan them.
Either way, best of luck to you. I wish I had them... and it's great that they still exist when so much has been lost!

I have decided to part with an original copy of "Apollo Operations Handbook", SID 65-1317, named to William E Platt. He worked with NASA on the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab & Shuttle programs in various positions. He was Asst Flight Director for Apollo 11.
