Title: Trump appoints climate change denier head of NASA
Post by: twik on September 03, 2017, 11:30:51 AM: Bridenstine, the appointee, made an impassioned Senate plea for President Obama to apologize for "wasting" money on climate research. I presume this means an ending to any further significant climate research through NASA.

Even Marco Rubio calls the appointment a disaster.

But then I heard that he was a climate change denier. I really hope the US can resist these buffoons and prevent them from doing too much damage.

(Goddard is the lead NASA center with regard to climate. NOAA HQ is also not far away; I'm sure they're thrilled too.)

It will be very interesting to see the new Administrator, assuming he is confirmed, give his first all-hands address and take questions.

This seems to be a Trump signature - the "@#$% you!" appointment. Garry Pruitt to head EPA. Betsy deVos to head Dept. of Education. The head of the shady DeVry group to officiate, over all things, educational fraud.
