The Great Gene Kranz at Mission Control
« on: June 29, 2019, 04:24:10 AM »
It was great to see Gene Kranz on our 6pm news tonight here in New Zealand (6pm NZST Friday 29 June 2019).

He was shown at the restored Mission Control room in Houston.

YouTube link 12 minutes 35 seconds

Some poignant words at 12:06 - "Many have left us, and for the Apollo generation our time is rapidly coming to an end."

Indeed the generation of Apollo is passing, I'm 72 and thankful for each day to remember the missions(the only one I missed was A13, basic training in the Army where we didn't have radios or TV's).

ETA  Thanks for posting the video, Kiwi. :)
